New this year, the Entomological Society of America will be providing on-site childcare at the International Congress of Entomology (ICE) free of charge for registered ICE attendees.
Camp ICE will be run and managed by ACCENT on Children’s Arrangements, Inc. Headquartered in New Orleans, ACCENT was founded in 1991 to offer parents the ability to be able to concentrate on their work and not to be distracted and worried about what is going on with their children. ACCENT provides on-site age-appropriate, curriculum-enriched environments for the children while parents can attend the meeting knowing their children are safe a happy. Camp ICE will be offered at the below times located at the Rosen Plaza Hotel
(connected to the Orlando County Convention Center via Skybridge).
Monday, September 26 – 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday, September 27 – 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, September 28 – 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Thursday, September 29 – 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Friday, September 30 – 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
To sign up, visit www.accentregister.com/register/ice16. Registration in advance is highly recommended and space is limited. On-site registration is subject to availability. All individuals that sign up for Camp ICE, must be pre-registered for the International Congress of Entomology.
Please note that while Camp ICE is free, there will be a $30 cancellation fee per day per child to anyone who cancels with less than 48 hours in advance or does not show up during the scheduled times. In addition to the cancellation fee, there is a $10 processing fee for any cancellations.
Services will be available to children between the ages of 2 and 12 years old. Limited services will be available to children under the age of 2. For attendees with children under the age of 2, please contact Cindy Myers (cmyers@entsoc.org) by August 12th for additional information. Child friendly snacks will be available.
